Rarity: Totally unexpected solo side from the least prolific member of the Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice cultus, Satya Sai. Heavy occult/synth vibe to much of this, starting out in a Some Velvet Phasing/Klaus Schulze spaceways style before settling into the continental cyborg mode of later electronic avantists like Asmus Tietchens. Oracular/prophetic vocals phase mechanically in the background – like a wind-up Nico – while the overall feel lays heavy gravity and brain-throbbing eastern drones on the already iron eyelids of prone cult jam bands like Yah Ho Wha, Bobby Beausoleils’s Orchestra, The Cosmic Couriers and Lothar & The Hand People. Beautiful acid-liberated vocals and heavy drugged/mystic vibe that is pure private press. Limited to 100 copies and a potent teaser for her forthcoming LP on Yik Yak. Highly recommended.
