Sword Heaven
Live At Little Brothers

Cut Hands CH-012

CD-R
£7.99

"A moment to cherish: first ever Sword Heaven release on European soil. This Ohio based destructo unit took their Swans inspired, doomfucked sound to Little Brothers in the fall of 2006 to pulverize the spines of the unknowing. Several dudes went home with blunt riffs in their eyes, one lady was reported to have stolen one of the grooves and stabbed two bums outside of the venue with it. This album captures the show in full effect, two insane tracks raging with bloodsoaked intensity. Faceless Nameless has ten (!) people on stage firing away on their instruments, pure psyched out trash orgasm. Packed in polyvinyl sleeves with bizarre black and white photo, some came out musty green though. Completely fuckin' gross...100 copies... for now." - CH.

Decayed Inferno

Cut Hands No Cat

3” CD-R
£5.99

“Sick collection of mangled Industrial soundscapes by this new Canadian cat with ties to the Hamilton, Fossils crew. There’s a sense of downright eerie frustration running through this album, twisted electronics mixed with thick, thudding blurts of frontal noise. Like a stack of heavy labour machines on the verge of breaking down. 40 copies in mini DVD cases. Artwerk by fartjerk.” – CH.

Astro/Hiroshi Hasegawa
Strata

Cut Hands CH-039

CD-R
£8.99

Edition of 75 copies and already completely sold-out at source, this new solo disc from CCCC et al’s Hiroshi Hasegawa is an ominous construct for ring modulators, theremin and F/X that passes through a series of movements, from long blank tones suspended over gulfs of nothing to cells of bleeping codes and decoded shortwave. One of the more minimal and subtly psychedelic of Hasegawa’s recent outings. For fans of Kluster, Hawkwind, early-Industrial synth et al…

“Another stunning project courtesy of psychfiend Adam Kriney (La Otracina, Dragonfrynd, Owl Xounds). This man does not sleep, nor shouldn’t he. Just like on the Dragonfrynd album there’s no drums on this double album. No guitars either this time. Just miles and miles of tripped out organ jams. Straight lines get transformed into a sprawling, blurry ocean of dubby overtones. Space age slowjams….this must be what shroomheads in love dance to. Sweet. 50 copies in slimline dvd cases with six page booklet and art by Peter Friel.” – CH.

Albany, September 08 2008

Cut Hands CH-044

£8.99

Edition of 100 copies CD-R album for big VT faves The Julie Mittens, here recorded live in the USA. This is the companion volume to the Abandon Ship release featuring Lexie Mountain.

Uneven Universe
Worm Hole

Cut Hands CH-045

CD-R
£8.99

“It’s still a damn shame Haunted Castle is no more but sometimes something great has to make way for something awesome. And at this point, the unbridled rawness of Uneven Universe is a fair match for the brooding beauty of Haunted Castle. Comfortable in the grimiest parts of Michigan’s underground gutters, Dan (Haunted Castle, Cardboard Sax) and Holly (Cardboard Sax, with John Olson too) put a twisted dirge into the world of fucked up freejazz. Raw and uncompromised chunks of saxophone collide with a barrage of molten electronics. Often creating an Industrial vibe but transferred to the free jazz wastelands so many great bands of today roam in. Edition of 50 with art by Matthew Junkin.” – CH.
