The Cove
s/t

Catholic Tapes No Cat

2xCassette
£10.99

Edition of 80 copies in card boxes with paste-on wraparound full-colour sleeves. The Cove is Mike Connelly of Wolf Eyes/Hair Police in combative electro-acoustic/Industrial ritual mode. Clattering metal and unidentified tectonics conjure the claustrophobic sound of early CCCC and the Akita/Null duets, all played with a wild free music abandon.

Dino & Nic
Plays Theme From Dino & Nic

Catholic Tapes No Cat

2xCassette
£10.99

Edition of 100 copies double cassette in moulded plastic boxes from the duo of ‘Dino St. Clair’ (aka Brett Naucke of Face Worker/Catholic Tapes) and ‘Nic Lamb’ (aka Chris Bush of Caboladies/Flower Man). Dual digital synth jams that move from ethereal/cosmic tones through heavier pulse-based wipe-outs.

Face Plant
Get High & Listen

Catholic Tapes No Cat

Cassette
£7.99

Edition of 50 solo cassette from Aaron Coyes of Peaking Lights using sandpaper loops, alarm tones, miasmic electronics and late-night drones to generate phantom zones of nada in the mode of the mothership. An excellent follow-up to his great release on Fag Tapes.

Flower Man
Another Ozone Hex

Catholic Tapes No Cat

Cassette
£7.99

New solo jams from Chris Bush of Caboladies in an edition of 75 copies. Melodically complex structures of synth tone with layers of fuzz and confusion cloaking soaring harmonies and epic drones. Even better than his recent CD-R on Robert Beatty’s label.

Sean McCann
Continent

Catholic Tapes No Cat

Cassette
£7.99

Edition of 100 copies cassette from this heralded electronic/synth composer. McCann specialises in lush orchestral tones and slow-motion sunsets that touch on aspects of Andrew Chalk’s work but with a more kosmische inflection. “An absolutely blissful and amazing recording from California's Sean McCann. Four wonderfully epic and engaging soundscapes to wrap your head around. While Continent reveals more deeper/darker tracks reminding me of early (electronic) Popol Vuh, it also produces the uplifting string sections McCann has made a staple of in recent recordings. Both the bright and the dark merge together seamlessly, creating a beautiful patchwork of textural ambience you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. This thoughtful process is clearly evident in the recordings, as are its effects on the listener. Probably best listened to in the early a.m, enjoying a cup of coffee, ready for the new day.” – CT.

Skin Graft
Damned

Catholic Tapes No Cat

Cassette
£7.99

“Wyatt Howland's Skin Graft project (Cleveland, OH) is hands-down creating some of the most abrasive and disgusting electronics I’ve ever heard. Nothing like it. Filth. Damned is especially wonderful due to its extremely short sides and his ability to do so much with 5 minutes at a time. Tapes, electronics, and gut-wrenching electronics don’t waste a second of this release. One of the best SK's I’ve heard! Originally released in a private edition back in march with another limited FW release with xeroxed art for his short midwest tour. Just had to give it a more "official" release. Nice color prints, in an edition of 100 copies.” – CT.
